FordPass^®

The FordPass App is a one­-stop mobility app designed to help you move through your day the way you already do ­— only smarter, better, and easier than ever before. The FordPass App allows you to access your Ford vehicle information right from your smartphone or smartwatch. Key features of the app include remote access for properly equipped vehicles like remote start/stop, remote lock/unlock, and vehicle location. You can also receive important alerts such as recall notifications, view your vehicle service history, earn FordPass^® Rewards, access Roadside Assistance, schedule your next service appointment with your preferred Ford Dealer, access a tile/tab for Ford Credit which routes to the Account Manager site, receive real-time assistance from a FordPass Guide via call or chat, and more. If you already have a Ford Account, you can log in to the FordPass App using your existing Ford Account username and password.

Yes, when using the FordPass App remote controls, you have direct access to remotely lock, unlock, start, and stop your vehicle.

It’s important to keep in mind that FordPass Remote Commands are not substitutes for having your key fob on hand. You should not leave your key fob at home or inside your vehicle. Your vehicle still requires the presence of a key to put it in drive (D). FordPass Guides do not have access to your remote commands. They are unable to unlock, lock, or control your vehicle.

Please note that remote lock/unlock and remote start/stop are not a standard feature for all Ford vehicles. Your vehicle must first be added to the FordPass App; it must then also be equipped with SYNC^®/the FordPass^® Connect^* embedded vehicle modem, and your vehicle modem must be activated.

^*FordPass^® Connect, the FordPass^® App., and complimentary Connected Service are required for remote features (see FordPass Terms for details). Connected service and features depend on compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. Connected service excludes Wi-Fi^® hotspot

You can download the FordPass App via your current mobile device platform, using App Store^® for iOS^® devices, or Google Play^™ store for Android^™ devices. Then, enroll to become a FordPass Member by creating an account or logging in using your existing Ford Account credentials (username and password). After that, you can optimize your FordPass experience by adding a vehicle to your account. To create a new account in the FordPass App, after downloading the app open it on your mobile device, select your country, tap next, and then select Create An Account. Follow the prompts from there to finish setting up your new FordPass account.

The FordPass App is a free app. The remote features of the FordPass App are also complimentary and include remote start/stop, remote lock/unlock, and vehicle location. To use the FordPass App remote features, your vehicle must be equipped with FordPass^® Connect. You can download the FordPass App from the App Store for iOS^® devices, or from Google Play for Android^™ devices.

You can update your name, address, phone number, and other details on the Account screen of the FordPass App.

To update your account information in the FordPass App 4.X experience:

1. Log in to the FordPass App.
2. Go to the Account screen.
3. Select Settings. 
4. Tap Account Information. 
5. Select Edit. 
6. Adjust the details as needed.
7. Tap Save. 
8. Select the Back Arrow to exit the screen.

To update your account information in the FordPass App 5.X experience:

1. Log in to the FordPass App.
2. Go to the Account screen.
3. Tap Account Information. 
4. Adjust the details as needed.
5. Tap Save. 
6. Select the Back Arrow to exit the screen.
